Who we are
In the morning a hearty breakfast will set you up to appreciate the superb local walks and attractions. The comfortable bedrooms are all en-suite, with colour television, telephone, hair dryers, and tea and coffee making facilities. The 21 rooms are centrally heated and comprise twin, double and family rooms. We offer FREE leisure facilities in conjunction with a nearby hotel, which include indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gymnasium and squash courts. Golf, water sports, horse riding and sightseeing tours can all be arranged locally. The hotel is ideally situated a stones throw away from Lake Windermere and two minutes walk from Bowness' varied shops and excellent restaurants. Bowness-on-Windermere began as a small fishing village and the older character of Bowness-on-Windermere can be seen in the characteristic narrow streets around St Martin's church. It was the rapid development of Windermere during the latter half of the 19th century that caused Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere to become almost as one.
