The Lounge Bar
Entertainment is on Fridays & Saturdays all year round, and is very well received by all. The Stags Head have kept faith with tradition by retaining age-old features of the bar such as the fireplace, whilst embracing modern techniques in other areas such as quality control in their drinks service.
The Stags Head is situated behind St Martin's Church the parish Church of Bowness. The area behind the church is the oldest part of Bowness, a delightful web of narrow streets known as Lowside, which gives an idea of what the village was like before the arrival of the railway. |

The Lounge Bar is open from 11a.m. until 2a.m. Bar Meals are served from 12 noon until 7.00p.m. Every Day. A hot drinks menu with an excellent choice of Teas and Freshly Ground Coffee is available from 11a.m. until 7.p.m daily. The pub has been trading for many years and its homely atmosphere and old world ambience make it the perfect stopping off place whether you are a local or a tourist, or just on the road home.
